Popularized in France and Italy, the apéritif–or aperitivo in Italian–is a bittersweet botanical beverage meant for sipping slowly pre-dinner. Originating from the Latin amperire meaning “to open up”, apéritifs stimulate your taste buds and get the conversation going.

De Soi [de - swa] comes from the French phrase maîtrise de soi, meaning self-control. Made for indulging mindfully, our range of non-alcoholic apéritifs are inspired by the French ethos of pleasure and restraint.

De Soi is a range of sparkling non-alcoholic apéritifs. Each bottle and can is brimming with the kind of culinary botanicals you’d find on the menu at your favorite local restaurant, from yuzu and lemongrass to dates and rosemary. The secret’s in our adaptogens, mind-mellowing botanicals that put the fun in functional, helping you create, relax, and ease into the night.

You got it–our apéritifs are entirely non-alcoholic. Instead, we use natural adaptogens like reishi mushroom and ashwagandha to give you the stress-soothing effect you look for in a nightcap.

However you like, really! De Soi is made to sip straight from a glass, or all done up with citrus and herbs. We prefer ours chilled with a bit of garnish.

Calorie count varies flavor to flavor. One glass ( approx. 5fl oz) of Très Rosé has 20 calories; Golden Hour, 30 calories; Champignon Dreams, 35 calories; and Purple Lune, 40 calories.

Our apéritifs are shelf-stable prior to opening. Once popped, a bottle will stay bubbly for about a week. If you don’t finish it in one go, keep it chilled in the fridge after opening.

De Soi products contain green tea extract that leaves trace amounts of naturally occurring caffeine. However, the amount is minimal and the beverage has generally calming properties. De Soi products are made to help consumers unwind.

Sedimentation is completely natural and safe to drink! Like many natural beverages, from wine to kombucha, some sedimentation may naturally occur in De Soi. This is due to the fact that we don't use stabilizers, and have opted to use minimally-processed whole ingredients, with little filtration. This sedimentation may appear in either the bottom of the bottle, or on the neck and closure (if the bottle was lying flat in transit, for example). If desired, the bottle may be gently inverted a couple of times to re-suspend the particulate.

You sure can. For our cans, remove the sleeve before recycling for maximum recyclability, and then toss the sleeve separately in the trash. Our glass bottles, meanwhile, are decorated with organic inks and designed to be 100% recyclable once rinsed out. We think they make pretty cute bud vases when you’re done with them, too. 

Our shippers are good to go in the recycling bin along with our bottles and cans. Made from post-consumer recycled fibers, the pulp inserts and corrugate boxes are 100% recyclable.
